Irrigation Tip:

Many landowners install screens on the headgate to block debris from entering the lateral pipe.  This is good practice, but the landowners must maintain the screens.  It is not the responsibility of OMID to clean them.  Debris can clog the screens multiple times a day, such as mowing operations along the ditch banks, moss/algae, especially during high wind.  If you are experiencing low water this is the first step for landowners to check.
